Since 1989, Natalie's Elf Shelf ®Holiday Shop program, with the help of educators and parents, provides elementary age school children with a real-life learning opportunity. Not only is it a lesson in generosity, but also teaches students how to budget and handle money. Students can shop in secret at their school to surprise their family and friends with a special gift. As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.
